Double Page Spread Research

I did some research into double page spreads to help give me some inspiration when designing and also to pick out things that are effective and make good double page spreads. From this I learnt that it is important to have a bold headline that stands out, but this can be made subtler if the image is bold. White space is very important to keep a page looking clear and helping to separate elements and keep strong legibility. It also helps to integrate images with text to blend them into the page and to stretch elements across both pages to join them and keep continuity.
